Re: 4.0

As Nate said, you can rename features in your program. Instead of "Circle 1," it could be "Datum-B", "1" or anything else you can fit in the text field. I once tried to name all the features, but it requires too much overhead. What I've found efficient is making a balloon print for each project and ...

4.0

Just curious what's in store for the next version release? 4.0 coming next or another 3.9 service pack? The last update with enhanced 3D CAD import times and rendering speed was a huge benefit! Good job. Beefing up the GD&T capabilities and profile reporting would great. I'm thinking directly to pro...

Fixed Radius Circle?

Is there any way to measure a fixed radius arc or circle in CMM-MANAGER? Description below. (PC-DMIS - Feature) FIXED_RAD Fixed Radius – This calculation type creates a circle of a given diameter, positioned so that the maximal radial distance from the data points to the circle is minimized. It is s...

Re: CMM-Manager User Group Meetings

Haven't seen much action in the arena, but I would consider Ohio or Chicago, depending on the timing.

Re: Best Fit Alignment - Bolt Circe

Thanks for the reply, medupriest! I'm running V3.5 and the nominal values in the feature box always adjust. It seems to set the actual values to the best fit and adjusts the nominal values to some calculation from original and deviation values. Anyway... The gage checks location and fit/function of ...

Best Fit Alignment - Bolt Circe

We constantly have bolt circle type gages to layout and certify. The attached image is one example. To lock rotation, it seems we can get the "best fit" or best layout using CMM Mangers "best fit alignment." There really is no -C- datum, but you need to somehow clock the part to establish if the fea...

Re: system requirements.

How about graphics? While working recently with large Die Solid Assemblies, things got slow. CMM M. converts solids to individual surfaces. I had to go back to CAD and remove a lot of the details to speed things up. Current - Win 7 - 32bit Core 3 - 3.3 GHZ 2 GB Ram (Ouch) Intel HD Graphics (Double O...

Awesome Software - Better

Not exactly sure where suggestions go, but we'll start here. The high end joysticks and controllers have the ability to run in either part coordinates or machine coordinates. If you coded this option into the software, many users lacking this option would greatly benefit. We already know it's possib...

Re: Feature Report on Measure Screen

Thanks for the reply's nfrost. The stretching of the window does work, but as you mentioned changes the report. As a suggestion, it would be really nice if Nikon could make the viewing area larger (full window size.) It is really hard designing a report in 1/3 of the monitor space. Maybe I am missin...

Re: Feature Report on Measure Screen

I must be dreaming.

On a related note; is there a way to make the graphical reporting white area (paper space) larger? It seems this is related to paper size, but everything is so tiny when using letter size. It would be nice to use the whole screen like you do on the Main Graphics window.
