Re: Measuring the Height of a Gage Diameter

Thanks for your quick reply. I tried your suggestion, and the construction of a gage diameter on a cone seems to work. It seemed a lot simpler and easier than the other methods that I've tried. Thanks for your help.

Measuring the Height of a Gage Diameter

I have a part that I am trying to program that has a call out on the print that requires me to report the height of a "Gage Diameter" on a cone. In our old software, we used to drive the CMM to the gage diameter, and then take touch points by moving the CMM in the Z-Axis only. Since the probe is tou...

Uninstalling Old Versions of CMM-Manager

As new releases of CMM-Manager (3.5SP1) become available, how do other companies handle the previous versions (3.4 & 3.5) on their computer. Do you uninstall them? Do you leave them installed on your computer? I am trying to avoid having numerous versions of CMM-Manager on our computers so earlier t...

Function Command String

Does anyone have a list of old FLB commands that can be used in the function command string inside of CMM Manager. For example, BZ3,9 will make my CMM buzz at a certain point in the program to alert the operator to flip a part over, or to place the part on the fixture.

Probe Compensation Issue

While measuring an external open slot, I keep getting an "Auto Probe Compensation" dialog box to pop up. This dialog box asks me if I have an external or internal slot. Once I select what type of slot I'm trying to measure, the program continues. Do I have something wrong in my settings that this di...

Re: 3D CAD Alignment Question

BTyler,

I was told during CMM Manager training with Nikon to only sync the CAD once. If I did it more than once, it would cause issues. The instructor emphasized this multiple times. Should I still sync it more than once?

Reporting Position of a Slot (Open & Closed)

I am trying to report the position of an internal slot on a part in only the X direction using the Bi-Lateral Position reporting function. I have modifiers for the internal slot as well as Datum B (circle), and Datum C which is the midplane of an external slot. I can get my bonus tolerance, and actu...

3D CAD Alignment Question

When I am trying to align a part using 3D CAD, I have to typically do an alignment first before I can do a level. Within my previous CMM programming software (Measuremax), I was taught to always re-align a part after leveling to a plane. It seems like with CMM-Manager, when I do this, it completely ...

Re: Shop Floor Launcher Screen

I can add a second monitor, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a way to minimize the SFL screen first. Thanks for your help.
