Re: X_Amplitude_Error

Upgrading software is not causing Reader Head Error... The reader head is piece of hardware that interprets / counts scale position from CMM. When you upgraded from 3.4 to 3.8 did you allow software to migrate settings as requested during installation? If not, you could be missing configuration file...

Re: 3DConnexion Support

I had one of these devices in the office several years ago and was able to get Zoom (in & out), translate, and 3D rotate all working. I think we have a device in Brighton, MI office, I will try to get my hands on it and give updated instructions if I can get it working.

Re: Dist bt Plane to CIR Min and Max

Looking at the original request... I would construct a line at the intersection of CIRCLE 1 work-plane and PLANE 3. Then report Min and Max distance from constructed line to CIRCLE 1.

Re: Use multiple faces for cylinder ??

CAD teach 3D should do this immediately... Otherwise use CAD Teach 2D twice, once at top, then at bottom, then finally construct the cylinder. Can you send the CAD to me? You can delete other surfaces in model if it's sensitive data.

Re: How To: Operation Planner

Does this only work if the cad model is the same? For instance, We have a final inspection cad model but we also have a different model for preplate processes. If I follow, we can only use this when the model isn't changing, correct? I think you could use the same model if I understand your questio...

Re: How to change DCC settings

Program Settings... It's the First operation in every program, put there automatically when you create new file. Also, can be added to any program from Ribbon Tab Features>Teach>DCC Settings.

Re: Batch Run For Repeatability Study

If you save and then recall the SAME Fixture Alignment then, yes I would expect the behavior that you describe. Fixture Ref Frame should be reserved for Recall at beginning of program only. Also, note you can skip initial steps of program for Batch Run if needed.

Re: How to properly report Cloud to CAD.

Nothing to do with Alignment... Everything to do with fact that CMM can NEVER measure the same points twice in the exact same spot. Nominal Value for each point comparison is adjusted according to nearest location of NOMINAL CAD to ACTUAL point. Every time the program runs, the CMM measures the poin...

Re: Batch Run For Repeatability Study

What kind of system? DCC CMM, Manual CMM, Vision system, what controller, what probing, etc.

Does it repeat if you run the program individually or is this truly isolated to Batch Run?

Can you send the program and results to Help Desk?

Re: Probe Comp turned off.

Probe Comp for manual and non-CAD measured points is OFF by default. I think ON for CAD based point measurements... The theory is that without CAD or at least good idea of the surface vector it's safer (more accurate) to measure with no comp. Please note that report 'distance between' operation has ...
