Re: Probe Tip File Corrupted?

Well, that is at least useful diagnostic info. Before calibration, there is a "default matrix" that is sent to the controller for each probe. Kind of generalized. Close enough to allow some motion to do the actual data collection for the final "calibrated matrix". The "calibrated matrix" is stored o...

Re: Probe Tip File Corrupted?

If clearing the calibrations and re-calibrating does not fix this, it COULD be a bad SP25 body or SM25-x. This will be a bad way of describing this probably, however... The SP25 does not work like a "switch" like normal probes do. Upside down, but think of it as a plumb-bob system hanging inside a 1...

Re: Machine Axis Changed with Windows 10 Upgrade

Back to some basic questions again... Which controller is this (a helpdesk file would be incredibly useful). Are you saying the "change axis" checkbox values will not "stick"? Or that the machine behavior does not match the settings? c:\ProgramData\Nikon "Security" in properties *must* show "Everyon...

Re: Operation Plan - Tip Calibration Problem?

Which controller? UCC (and I++)? PH10 or PH20 (if UCC)?
Is it possible for you to supply an offending program for us to look at? We would need the "Create File for Helpdesk" file with the program open - then everything is included including your probes and tips as active at the time.

Add IJK to a report using VB (3.8 and above)

NOTE: You can find VB help in c:\Program Files\Nikon\CMM-Manager 3.x SPx\Help\Function Reference - VB Script.pdf An sample output is shown in the attachments at the bottom of this topic. After inspecting a feature (CYLNDR1 for instance): Program Tab > Add VB Script, then add the following code (subs...

Re: Operation Plan - Tip Calibration Problem?

What version did you upgraded from? Are you using a UCC controller by any chance? And when you upgraded, did you tell it "YES" to the prompt "Do you want to import your settings"? There are a couple of things that may be going on here, but we need a bit more information.

Re: IGS Import issues

I'll try to keep this short and on-point. If you do *not* use pre-process, and I'll use a STEP file (.stp) as the source for an example. CAD Converter (which runs "outside" CMM-Manager as a sub-process) does: .stp > .iges using the options specified in the STEP options. Changing the STEP options may...

Re: how to align cylinder parts?

This implies that there are *no* radial features on this part to be inspected? If so, you can arbitrarily use the machine axis for rotation alignment - or do a "level" using the cylinder and then simply set zero to the center of the cylinder at on end. If you *do* have radial features you would need...

Re: Failed to open lkcmmdrv.cfg

Once you have everything running again and verified - go to the "System" tab in CMM-Manager and Export. This will create a backup of your machine environment/configuration. Store is somewhere other than on that computer.

Re: Failed to open lkcmmdrv.cfg

Be sure that the file is in the c:\ProgramData (*NOT* Program Files) folders. Assuming you have CMM-Manager 3.6 SP2 installed, the lkcmmdrv.cfg file would go in c:\ProgramData\Nikon\CMM-Manager 3.6 SP2\Driver It is *possible* that it is looking for it in the old LK location (I don't know much about ...
