Windows 10 Update uninstalled drivers

Post by bkorn » Fri Apr 12, 2019 3:20 pm

We have an iNEXIV VMA-2520, and after our computer updated we are no longer getting a video feed inside CMM Manager. Windows device manager shows an unrecognized device called "Nikon NEXIV-CAM (no license)". I have checked license manager and all of our licenses are still good. I have tried re-installing the drivers for it, since Windows 10 has uninstalled drivers on me before after a major update, but none of them work.

The camera connection is through a USB cable, if that helps. The joystick and lighting controls work fine, but those are through the 1394 cable.

Thanks for any help.

Turns out I had to change the driver for the 1394 card back to a standard one (somehow it got changed) and then the camera was recognized automatically.

We've seen this several times recently with last WIndows update. Most systems running WIndows 10 64bit I think... In all cases re-installing drivers for camera (sometimes iNexiv controller) from WIndows Device Manager does the trick.
