Measuring a line on an angled surface.

I'm trying to find a straightforward way to program this and nothing seems simple.

The track in the picture has angled sides. The designer specified a gage depth (.025) and wants the widths and radii at that depth. I created a cut plane and saved it to the CAD file. When I pick the line using Teach 2D feature it asks for the orientation plane but I can't pick the plane that the line is in. If I pick XZ plane then I am not hitting the surface normal.

The two solutions I can think of is to measure all 8 planes and 8 cones and construct the intersection or to key in the normal vectors for each line (which doesn't fix the problem for the radii).

Measure as 3D Cloud and then Best Fit Construct the line.
